I am a civil litigator and trial lawyer. I represent both plaintiffs and defendants in difficult, unique, and high-stakes commercial disputes of all shapes and sizes. I have successfully represented clients in courts, arbitrations, and other forums around the country, but primarily in New York and Washington, D.C., in a wide variety of cases including employment discrimination and retaliation, trademark infringement, professional malpractice, government contracts, securities law, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, theft of trade secrets, and defamation.
My clients are a diverse spectrum of businesses and individuals including hedge funds, government contractors, investment companies, IT companies, a class of medical residents, an immigration services company, the New York Stock Exchange, a Pakistan based construction company, religious charities, a Sonoma County winemaker, a regional wireless telephone company, the former Pakistan ambassador to the United States, a member of the Palestinian Parliament and a well-known rapper.
I am focused on providing exceptional client service and efficiently meeting my client's goals and objectives. I treat each case as a unique matter. I listen to my clients to understand their goals. I then develop a strategy, whether that be in litigation or Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”), that is crafted to meet those goals. I continually reevaluate and, if necessary, readjust that strategy.
As a small firm, I am more flexible, nimble, and innovative than attorneys at the larger firms that I am often up against. And because I keep my overhead low, I can provide a superior level of service at a fraction of the cost of larger firms. As a result, I am proud that on numerous occasions I have been selected by clients over much larger firms, and in several instances chosen to replace attorneys at larger firms who have failed to meet their expectations.
From 2014 through 2020 and again in 2023, I was recognized by SuperLawyers as one of the top civil litigators in Washington, DC. I am also an arbitrator with the D.C. Bar’s Attorney/Client Arbitration Board.
